MANILA BUSINESS COLLEGE hosted Youth Leaders Forum

The Manila Business College Hosted an International Summit of Students last April 28-30, 2010 at the Makati Palace Hotel. The glamorous charismatic’s statuesque and polish Ms. Mariecor Salas-Ding Conference Chair and Vice President External and Students Affairs was the moving spirits who did not give up until the summit became a resounding success, some of the delegates were from the People’s Republic of China, Cambodia, Singapore, India, Japan, Israel, Austria, Spain, Germany, France, Canada, Philippines  even Madagascar.

Students from the Philippines and from other countries were introduced to the 8 Millennium Development Goals to come up with solutions and action plans in their campus, communities and in their country when they go back. At the end of the conference, the delegates came up with the Manila Declaration to be presented to the new President, focusing on eradication extreme poverty.

Some notable speakers were Mr. Renaud Meyer, Country Director UNDP-Philippines, Fr. Ranhilio C. Aquino Ph.D., JD,SJD, Vice-President Academic Affairs, Cagayan State University, Dean San Beda College of Law. From the Business Sector His Excellency Ambassador Francis Chua, President Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industries (PCCI), from the international community His Excellency Ambassador Alistair MacDonald, Head of Delegation European Union to the Philippines, Tomochika Uyama, Minister, Economic Affairs Embassy of Japan in the Philippines, Ms. Cory Quirino, Talkshow Host Beauty and Wellness Expert, Dr. Mina Gabor, Former Secretary of Tourism, President, APHADA, President, PHILSMED, Honorary Consul Republic of Maldives.

Other Speakers are Ms. Irene Tumaob, Philippine Tourism Authority, Mr. Chris Wright, Second Secretary, British Embassy to the Philippines, Ms. Ruth Soriano, COO/President, Breakthrough & Milestones Production Inc. Professor Bert Tuga, Philippine Normal University, Dr. Nemesio T. Gako, Assistant Secretary of Health, Sector\al Management Coordination Office, Department of Health, Dr. Flerchito Avrelino, Executive Director, Philippine National Aids Council, Department of Health, Mr. Harry Quiaoit, Officer in Charge, Environmental Education and Information Division, Environmental Management Bureau, Department of Environmental and Natural Resources.

The members of the National Organizing Committee were very busy during that 3 days Conference lead by Dr. Thomas Chua, Founder/Chairman, Manila Business College Foundation Inc.    Mr. Magdaleno “Nel” Espiritu Jr., Mr. Dean Bongat, Ms. Marilou Cagampang, Ms. Alice Lucas, Mr. & Ms. Kazmierczak, Prof. Jess Sanchez, Dr. Letty Villaluz, and Ms. Anna Lopez were visibly busy helping entertain Guest and Students during the 3 days Conference it was a resounding success we hope for another conference ahead of us next year. Local and Foreign Youth Leaders and Guests were treated to Filipino dishes and showcasing Filipino songs and dances by the PTA well-known Dance troupe and Choir, to the delight of the guests  during the filipino solidarity night held at Club Intramuros Golf Course hosted by the Philippine Tourism Authority (PTA) organized by Ms. Lydia Casuco, Deputy General Manager and Ms. Irene Tumaob and the TIEZA Staff that inspite of the Interment showers was overall an enjoyable evening.
