Youth Empowerment Program

Manila Business College Youth Empowerment Program is a scholarship program aimed in empowering our youth today. Through the years, the number of out of school youth has rapidly increased and our government with its limited resources is unable to completely address this problem. MBC with its mission in uplifting the Filipino youth through quality education has formulated this new program to provide an opportunity for the youth to finish their college degrees in a private school at an affordable cost.


  • To address the growing numbers of out of school youth in the country by providing affordable college education
  • To train Filipino youths to be the future economic leaders through world-class education
  • To provide sufficient scholarship grants and trainings that are essential in developing young minds


  • High School Graduate / Alternative Learning System (ALS) Passer*
  • With at least 82.5% General Average on High School Report Card
  • Signed Endorsement Letter from Partner Organization and/or ALS Center
  • Must be Filipino Citizen

Scholarship Discount

  • Fixed Tuition Fee Php 12, 000.00

Maintaining the Scholarship

  • Maintaining GPA of 2.0 every term
  • No grade lower than 2.50
  • Clean disciplinary record
  • Abide by the MBC scholars guidelines


  • Applicants are required to take MBC Qualifying Examination for further assessment
  • Applicants will be interviewed as part of evaluation
  • Applicants should pass the following requirements:
    • 2x2 ID Picture
    • Birth Certificate (NSO Copy)
    • High School Report Card / ALS Rate Card
    • Certificate of Good Moral Character
    • ALS Passers List
    • Endorsement Letter
    • Barangay Certificate


  • Applicable for any course offered by the Manila Business College
  • 17-18 units per term

Revoking of Scholarship

  • If a student is admitted as a YEP Scholar, but he or she is unable to maintain the required GPA; his or her scholarship will be revoked.
  • Submission of false and fraudulent information and documents shall subject the student to outright disqualification and expulsion from this program and possible criminal prosecution.

Upgrading Scholarship

  • Even if a student is admitted as a YEP Scholar, his or her scholarship may be upgraded to Full Scholarship if he or she attains a CGPA of 1.50 in one (1) year of continuous stay at MBC.
