Manila Business College Foundation and Balitang-Balita Lingap Kapwa (BBLK), a media-based NGO with linkages to DSWD & PCSO, recently signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) in support of the out-of-school youth through MBC’s Youth Empowerment Program (YEP).
The YEP Scholarship Program is created to help out-of-school youth or students with high financial need advance themselves through a college education. Under the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA), MBC shall provide academic scholarships for the selected BBLK beneficiaries. As a condition of the scholarship, MBC requires that its students exhibit high moral standards/conduct, and meaningful community service while serving as role models for their peers and other youth. There are also retention requirements in both GPA and academic load.
Entrepreneurs, students, faculty and staff of universities and other higher education institutions, small industry groups and enterprises, and governments agencies involved in the enterprise development and technology innovation attended the TBII Center Symposium-Workshop for the following objectives:
The signing ceremony was held at MBC last July 20, 2015 between BBLK CEO Mrs. Elvie Aliño and MBC Executive Vice-President Mr. Jameson Chua. Also present were Ms. Maria Cristina C.
